Change SSH port and SSH Client

When we want to connect to your linux or every devices which using SSH protocol , we have to use 4 parameter to connect

IP or HostName

UserName

Password

Port

For SSH Client we can use the “ssh” command or “Putty” in CLI and GUI for download use the following :

https://www.putty.org/

Which Devices we can use SSH to connect ? Cisco Devices – Mikrotik Routers -Junioer – UTM Firewalls – Linux Servers

How we can change the SSH Port in Linux :

Open the config file for SSH service => we can use these command to edit files : vim , vi , nano ,….

#vim /etc/ssh/sshd_config

then uncomment and change the number of port :

Port 2345

then Restart the SSH service

#systemctl restart sshd

or

#/etc/init.d/sshd restart
